hi all

has anyone tried to begin dream feeding at nearly 5 months and it was successful?

Toby was sleeping through but for the last 6-7 weeks he's been waking at night again for a feed as he must need it (takes a full 4-6ozs). But its not every night so the change in my sleep pattern is really starting to take its toll. one night I'm up, the next I'm not, my body is confused!!!

he never took to it when we tried before, so I was wondering about whether its worth trying again...

Yeah I would, we did it when Freya was younger, it made no difference so we stopped. Then at about 4 months she started waking at 5 am for a feed, so now I dreamfeed her at 10pm and she sleeps through 'til 7am. I like doing it too, she is so peaceful and cute when she feeds asleep.

We started it at 5 months to see if Phoebe would sleep through. We fed her at 11pm and she would then wake again at 6am. We decided to stop as she become unsettled for the rest of the night when we woke her. For us it turned into a bit of a nightmare as she now always wakes between 10pm and 11pm for a feed and then again at 5.30am. Whereas before she would go from 6pm to 4am, feed and then sleep until 7am. It seems as though we introduced a new feed for her which she now expects.
