dream feeding,what ever its called

im gonna try and give joshua a dream feed,or what ever its called tonight.

last night he had 5oz at 7 o'clock and woke up at 2am for a feed.

tonight he has had 5oz at 6.30 so im gonna try nd give him a bottle before i go to bed.

what time would you do it?
how do i do it?
how much would he take?

at night i give him 4oz.

Usually a baby will feed every 4hours. We time Kalea so her last one is 10/11 and then that's her *usually* until 4 and then 7-8am.

joshua has a feed between 7 and 8 then wakes up at 12ish (when i start to fall asleep)

last night he had 5oz at 7 then didnt wake up til 2ish.

i was wondering if i could feed him before i fall asleep he might sleep for longer and let me get a few hours.

If you time it right you'll get longer yeah.

but i dont know wether to do it or not.

if i feed him at say 11 he will wake up at bout 2 or 3 like he usually does.

He may for a couple of nights because he's used to the routine. But he should get used to it.

By looks of it, if he goes from 7pm-2am, which is 7hours, he should hopefully give you until 6ish. But He may wake at 4 for a couple of days. Just a prediction. All you can do is try, it's not going to harm him, but may be better for you.

i only give him 4oz through the night.

what im gonna do is up his feed to 5oz at every feed tomorrow and see when he wakes tomorrow night and then ill see if its better.

at the moment he is having 4oz every 3 hours through the day and then he has 5oz at his 7ish feed then he has 4oz about every 4 hours at night

I would most definitely do a dream-feed at about 11-11.30 then as bubs sleeps longer you can cut the time back by 15 minutes each night but stick to the dream feed at the same time for a few weeks to get into a routine. The baby is still very young to be sleeping through.

i dont expect him to sleep through,its just that he has a bottle at 7ish and doesnt wake up until 2ish.

i would prefer him to have a feed at say 10 or 11 then wake up 5 or 6.
