I've been having dreams, really vivid dreams non stop since i got pregnant and they seem to have intensified in my second trimester.....they tend to be really ridiculous, baby dreams and sometimes nightmares.
i have a minimum of 3 every night....i dream, wake up to pee and then start another dream..is anyone else experiencing this and can someone please tell me if they'll stop after i give birth...Thanks!

I know how you feel hun. I often wake up crying. I haven't found anything to make them better so i cant offer you any advice... but you're not alone :hugs:

Strange, vivid dreams are really common in pregnancy. Luckily I've not had them and I've only had one or two nightmares about baby but I have a sleep related problem that the doctor thinks is probably caused by pregnancy. I tend to wake up seeing things. It's really scary - not like when you see dots or see something and think it's something else. I can actually see snakes & spiders crawling all over my walls or people in the room and I'm fully awake at this time. I can blink and look away and look back and they're still there. It even feels like I could reach out and touch them. They can last up to about a 1 min before they fade. Spooky!!

the dreams i have are scary but seeing stuff must be worse:hugs:...i really hope that it stops once we give birth.

no advice but i have been having really vivid dreams invloving baby to xxx

i had one about a baby... i knew i hadn't got any nappies so decided to take baby to supermarket, people kept stopping to see baby, and i was mortified cos she didn't have a nappy on... it went on all night (or so it felt like) i woke up and was dead tired, cos i'd been pushing this pram all the way to the super market!!! i have about four dreams a night, nothing nasty so far, soemtimes very 'real' and worrying stuff though. (often other men, not the OH!! not told him about that though, he'd read too much into it!!! LOL)

lol... you are definately not alone here hun...

My strangest dream was that i was at a football match (never been to one in my life) and gave birth. Within ten minutes i had a little boy (am expecting a little girl). Someone handed me a car seat and a blanket so i wrapped up baby in blanket, popped him in the car seat and carried on watching the match. Then someone shouted you need to feed him. So i whip out my breasticle and there is my OH's mum standing behind me shouting 'get that breast out of his mouth! You have baaaaad breasts!!!!'

I have had some pretty crazy dreams, some of them made no sense what so ever. My other dreams were pretty saucy, I dreamed of another man (not my husband) for a week straight and it was someone that I work with (who is good looking), but don't know why I had dreams about him. It was weird seeing him at work. Also, I have had dreams about the baby and he has always came really early (I hope that isn't a sign). I don't know what to do to make dreams "go away" or be "normal". I think it's just our hormones.

Oh you're definitely not alone!!!! I went from not dreaming at all to a soap opera every night and I really have no idea where its coming from!!

Im sure it stops after the birth and after the hormones regulate themselves.

hehe I had many dreams before I knew the sex of the baby, but they have seemed to stop. Maybe it's because we have anxieties and fears that we have these kinds of dreams :)

I've always had really vivid dreams, the kind where you know you're dreaming and you can sort of control everything, but now that I'm pregnant the vividness is worse but I can't control them as good.

The weirdest ones I've had so far is I realize all of a sudden that I'm due in 9 days and I have nothing ready for the baby, the other my stomach opens up by itself (no blood or gore, kind of like a zipper) and my baby pokes his little head and torso out and smiles at me, so I give him cuddles and kiss him and tell him he's not ready to come out yet and put him back in.

I asked my mom if they stop and she said yeah, most pregnant women get really vivid/weird dreams during pregnancy.

I keep having nightmares, people dying, pets dying and last night husband was a crazed manic going to bury our 5 yr old son (we don't have a old son - assume this is baby) in the garden with a spade! Not very nice!

Wierd thing I find is that I have not had one dream about a baby good or bad!
This doesn't seem to be the norm from what everyone else has said!
