Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to chat really, i am 26 years old and 18 weeks pregnant, with my first child, my husband i had been trying for a baby for a year so were over the moon when i finally fell pregnant.

However since being pregnant both my husbands mother and my nan where diagnosed with terminal cancer, and unfortunatly my husbands mother has recently passed away. I am finding it a bit difficult to remain relaxed and calm for my baby. We are spending all of our spare time either traveling to sheffield or London (we live in milton keynes) to see my nan and my husbands family.

My husband is being really strong and i want to make sure i am there for him. My dad is not coping with my nans condition whilst i am trying to help him i am finding that it is really getting me down and making me feel upset all the time.

I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for things i could do that might help me relax a bit?

Thanks

Donna

hi hun, sorry to hear about your problems. try a nice warm bath, a cup of hot milk, spray some sleep mist on your pillow, listen to some relaxing music, go for a long walk, read a book go out with a friend/s/hubbie, go for a massage/head massage, get your nails or hair done, go window shopping for baby stuff, go shopping for you, just any of these really to clear your head a bit and help you relax. Good luck hun xxx

:hugs: your life sounds so stressful at the moment, i suppose you have already tried baths, foot spa's etc. If you can afford it how about going for a pregnancy massage i had one when i was pregnant and it was 60mins of heaven.

Talk. Let it all out to whoever will hear - your OH and your friends. It helps more than you'd think.
