Early 1st AF after an early M/c

Hi

I had an early m/c around xmas day /boxing day - i was approx 5wks. I had mainly spotting during the m/c but my bleeding stopped completely on 6th Jan.

Since then on and off i ve had a range of symptoms which I ve put down to my hormones settling back down. I have PCOS and irreg periods and prior to the m/c my periods had been averaging at approx a 5 wk cycle.

This afternoon I was having sex with my partner and afterwards we noticed some light red blood - not watery but a faint colour. I presume this is the start of my first AF but am surprised at how early it actually is and am certain I ve read that there should be a gap of 21 days from end of m/c bleeding to first AF ????

Has anyone else had such an early first AF???

I had very early mc and my next af was 15 days after the mc started.

Hi there sorry to hear of your loss. I was exactly the same after my early m/c in October, i was 5-6 weeks pg, i started spotting with blood just dark brown really and was told this could be normal. I started loosing more blood 3 days later and was referred to early pregnancy unit and was told there was nothing to see on the scan but could still be pg. They took my bloods and was tols the level was 21 and need to re test in 1 months time, the bleeding only lasted for one day though but i had a normal period just 3 days later, i put this down to my hormones settling down, i also suffer from the same condition as yourself. I did the test as instructed by the hospital and unfortunatly it was negative.

Thanks x well after all that it seems to have suddenly stopped again for this evening although i do have mild stomach cramping so imagine it will be in full force by the morning x

Hi again

Well I ve woken up and have no bleeding what so ever nor any pains etc but my boobs just feel a teeny bit tingly for some reason??

As I said in m first post since my m/c i ve had a range of symptoms which i ve assumed to be hormone related, on a different thread a few days ago someone suggested my symptoms could be pregnancy related, I did a normal home test which was negative on 12th Jan and an early detection test on Thurs which had a very faint line but cud have easily been an evap line.

When I saw the blood last nite I assumed it was my AF which i know it could still be but all in all I only bled for about 30 mins, and it wasnt a proper bleed, more spotting i guess.

How long should I leave things if AF doesnt show and should I be mentioning this to my gp or is it just one of those things ??

**UPDATE**

Just noticed a small amount of brown discharge now, my body is confusing me x Its light brown in colour & i ve no aches or pains or any other bleeding etc - any ideas ??? Dunno why but feel sooooooooo anxious lately x
