Just wondering if anyone has ever had their baby delivered a bit earlier than full term due to pregnancy induced hypertension?

My first little girl was born at 29 weeks due to severe pre-eclampsia...this time I have managed to avoid that with constant monitoring and aspirin combined with calcium...this last 4 weeks however I have been on Labetalol, for slightly raised blood pressure...which my family GP is saying I just seem vulnerable to in pregnancy...she also stated that they will most likely deliver the baby around the 36 week mark now.

I was hoping for a VBAC this time around, but that is pretty much out of the window now, I am too high risk, and baby is still frank breech, with an anterior placenta, previous section scar, and the need for induction on an early delivery they won't even attempt to turn her, so it will be another section.

I see my consultant after my next growth scan this coming tuesday, so will find out more then.

Everything feels so up in the air...once again I find myself in a position of the unknown, I don't know what to expect!!

all 6 of my friends girls were born at 36 weeks hun just naturally but all were fine and well cooked by then !! smallest was 6lb biggest was 7lb yr baby will be fine so please dont worry just think how much further you have come this time x

Thank you!! My midwife said that the consultant will see reaching 36 weeks after my last pregnancy as a good milestone...I am not worried about the section, having had an emergency one before, I feel calmer knowing it will most likely be an elective, and I can get my head around that and prepare in time for it...I just want her here safely, however way that will be...I already feel like I am on borrowed time with my history, so every day she is cooking is a huge bonus.

Did your friends babies have to stay in hospital, or were they able to bring them home with them?

One of my biggest fears is having to walk out of the hospital..again...and not bringing my baby home with me.

I was induced at 39+5 due to hypertaention - I had been and out of hospital due to very high BP in the last month of my pregnancy, If I have another baby I wolud prefer to go into labour naturaly - hope all goes well :)
