Early labor signs?

Looking back what were your earliest signs of labor? I'm 28 weeks with my first. I'm scared I will "miss" something ha.

Hmmm, with my first, the earliest sign was that I was pissed off about everything. Nothing was good enough, nothing could make me happy, I was uber crabby and so very uncomfortable. I didn't want anyone to touch me, not even a hug from my mommy. I wanted to walk everywhere, I didn't want to stop moving. I was very restless.

That's interesting! I've never heard that before. I'm due the first week of May but am convinced I will have him April 20th-30th. He's been head down and low since 13 weeks and lately I'm feeling like he's about the pop out!!

with my first i had some random painful contractions 5 and 3 days before.
now with my second i had terrible contractions since week 37. nothig is happening. today i thought again this is it. it was so painful i even threw up. but now all is quiet

Did either of you ladies have pain in your vagina? I've been having sharp stabbing pains down there for about a week

That could be baby lowering into your pelvis or he's lowered and moving on a nerve.

I have that now and again and am only 30 weeks! i hope it's not a labor sign! baby's head down so maybe it's the pressure from him?

Sounds like you guys are describing the "lightning crotch" pain. Feels like baby is stabbing you in the cervix...
Typically just means baby is moving lower into your pelvis. Not a true labour sign yet

interesting, had no idea! i thought maybe i'd exerted myself and was worrying!

How long after this did things start happening?

About two to three weeks. The next sign I got was the loss of my mucous plug, I believe that was on a Wednesday. That Friday, I started to have 8 min apart contractions, which sped up to 7 mins by Monday when my water broke. I never did dilate.

the day my water broke i was sore and stiff, my back hurt. also very hungry. i had lost some plug that week.

the day before i went into labour with my DD i just ' didnt feel right' then at 2am that morning my waters broke. i was 35 weeks

Thank you ladies!! Did anyone ever get sore the day after they had bh? I've been having them so bad that I have to take a bath but then am incredibly sore the next day?
