I'm almost 5 years into my TTC journey and no baby to show for it. After 2 years of trying we found ourselves naturally PG in Aug 2011. Unfortunately it was ectopic and we had it surgically removed. Over the next 14 months we used femara, gonal-f, IUIs, and progesterone and we got PG another 4 times. All of those pregnancies ended early (around 4 - 5 weeks). We visited 2 IVF docs and a reproductive immunologist. The IVF docs believe my issue is tubal and that all of my pregnancies have been ectopics. An hsg last month showed a disfigured left tube (confirmed ectopic side) and a blocked right tube. The reproductive immunologist found some other issues and recommended immune treatments.
We're about a month away from IVF and I'm not sure who to believe. Obviously having only a tubal issue would be the easiest problem to resolve as IVF will circumvent the issue. If my immune system is involved, that seems trickier to treat.
Has anyone had a number of early losses and then experienced success with IVF? Anyone told their tubes were to blame and go on to have unsuccessful IVFs?
Thanks!
