Hiya yet again!!

I had an early miscarriage {was approx 5w} anytime between 26/12 & 05/01. I personally think it was nearer to 26th Dec but no one can tell for certain.

On 3/1 I noticed semi sticky CM.
On 5/1 My beta bloods came back as level 13 and I was discharged.
06/1 All bleeding / spotting stopped - that evening started getting strong pains in both ovaries but left one was more uncomfortable.
From 7/1 onwards I ve been getting sticky CM as well as above ovary pains.
Spoke to GP again on 9/1 who advised that he didnt know why pains were from, didnt think was related to the M/C as he felt that was well and truely over. As I have PCOS he felt pains could poss be to do with my ovaries and prescribed some pain relief, I never mentioned the CM to him as it simply just didnt enter my head. D'oh!

Due to the m/c and pcos I havent a clue when i'll be due to ovulate or due for AF. We had decided to wait a while when we first realised i had m/c but we've since had a change of heart. We've been having sex on and off since 3/1

I know its most likely not the case but IF the cm and ovary pains are a sign of ovulation when would be a sensible time to check for a BFP or BFN?? Im aware my body could still have some of the HCG levels from my m/c and obv dont want to test to early BUT Im really really anxious and also take certain meds, so if there is the slightest poss that I might be preg I want to be able to check as early as poss so I can come off some of the medication.

Any ideas ??xx

Personally i always stick to a conservative way forward, that is test when af is due. Mainly due to the fact it is historically more difficult to get a + hpt before then. You could be lucky in which case why dont you try the frer that's supposed to give you an answer 5 days before af is due. They are however expensive and could potentially be a total waste of money should you not have built up enough hcg in your system yet.

As far as medication, well..i dont know what you are on so i cannot advise you on it. But i suspect since you are on it while ttc it cannot be that bad otherwise you doctor would have advised you otherwise. Normally the embryo gets what it needs from what would have been your period until week 5 when it hooks into your bloodsupply. However, since you're already on this medication that doesnt really apply to you.

Try the frer first response if nothing else, and if nothing try again nearer to af.

Good luck, hun!

Thanks hun x

My main prob is because we havent been able to ascertain the exact point when i m/c, in conjunction with my irregular cycle so i simply dont know when im due for AF or to ovulate, guess maybe an opk may give me an idea just not sure how reliable these are when a person has recently m/c'd!

Cheers xx

To be prefectly honest with or without knowing exactly when you mc doesnt really tell you that much as your cycle can change quite a bit post mc. The only way would be to try to find it.

Im lucky in that i get ewcm so i sort of know i am about to ov so i did sticks all that week and found it that way. But even then, my luteal phase could change and my af could arrive at a totally different day to what it usually arrives on- so its all a bit of a guessing game, im afraid.

The opk's should work if you are ovulating ( well, i say that with caution , i know they dont work for every person, but for most anyhow) and you have taken a hpt to make sure you dont have any hcg left in your system. Once its negative you should expect your cycle to start up again.

But yeah, opk's are the way forward!

Good luck, hun! :)

Cheers, havent done a HPT to test negative but guess should do as that will be a good indicator and will try an work out whats happening with my cycle etc from there onwards.

Thanks again xx

Hi i would def advice doing a hpt to try and get a negative cos ,i didnt and when it cameback + i was really excited turned out it was actually an incomplete m/c and was devastated all over again.
your cycle will not restart until your hcg is low enough either.
i had my erpc on the 17th dec and got a negative hpt on 31st dec and i ovd on the 7 jan (i get lots of ewcm and ov pain) i am gonna wait until at least 14dpo before testing that is unless af shows up.
:hug::hug:

Well i just did a tesco preg test and got a very definite BFN so my m/c and previous preg hormones are now totally gone. I had a beta level of 13 last Monday morning {5th}

So just a case of waiting for my cycle to restart - therefore given the ovary pains and sticky CM these past few days I can only assume must have been my body returning to normal as I doubt I would have ovulated that quickly, meaning I wouldnt have had opportunity to concieve despite having sex.

And the fact that my boobs have today started to feel sensitive must just be all in my mind, goodness this baby making malarky sends u bonkers doesnt it, will be a raving looney by the time I ever have one of my own lol x

jacey I had exactly the same as you on december 1st. I would have been lost without opks. I concieved on boxing day. I also have pcos so I was aware my cycles could be major out of sync. Do use opks, you will feel more in control.xxxxxxxxx

cheers sb22 - think will have to invest in some then, am sure AF will be here soon as had few symptoms past few days so should start to be getting back to normal .......like i ever was lol x

jacey i use the ones from fertilityplan on ebay. very cheap too but good!
