early pregnancy scan baby attached to c section scar

hi everyone
went for a scan today 5 weeks 2 days pregnant baby is low and midwife said it looks like its attached to c section scar and wanted to do a d&c, said no to hold off she said come back in friday to discuss your options, has this happened to anyone else what was your outcome? do you think they could be wrong? 5 weeks 2 days is very early to detect placenta isnt it?

I thought they were still in sac at 5 weeks?! Could be wrong but I thought it was around 12 weeks ish placenta takes over? Deffo get a second opinion hun. Keep us updated and hope everything turns out ok xx
