Hi Ladies,

Just wondering what you are planning to do for your LO's Easter gifts?

I don't really let her have chocolate so I'll be getting her a small egg as a gesture.

I thought about getting her an Easter basket that she could use when she's older for an Easter egg hunt but not sure what to put in it.

Any ideas?

My mum got him a teeny chocolate rabbit last year, he nibbled one of the ears before deciding he didn't like it, so I ate it! At his playgroup they did an Easter egg hunt which was little plastic eggs which came apart and they had stickers in them.

I'd pop in stuff for her to do. Maybe some stickers or a cardboard egg shape with some bits to glue on. A cuddly toy chick or rabbit. Maybe a little plastic egg cup (Ashley has a chicken one with a matching spoon). Maybe see if you can find a little book.

Button - I love the egg cup idea and the plastic eggs with things in! Thanks x

Last year we got LO an bunny book, lamb cuddle toy, bubbles with a bunny on them, and easter finger puppets.

When he was one, my LO got a couple if mini bags of buttons and I think one of those malteaser bunnies. New slippers, an in the night garden collection book and a baby boy doll were his gifts.

My son has 2 baskets left from last year, one from me and one from his grandmother… and of course both sets of grandparents will spoil him again.

For his basket I have a book, a movie, a little chocolate bunny and some small candies, crayons, markers, a stuffed lamb… I may have forgotten something. I also bought him some cheap sand toys today. I don't know what will fit and I might keep some of it for later. He probably won't eat the candy. He actually nibbles on an M&M… who knew you could take bites of an M&M??? They're so tiny! Oh well, I love chocolate. ;)

Stickers are a great idea to hide in his eggs if I do an egg hunt! I was trying to think of small things.

Fab - Thanks hun. I've noticed there is only a day between our babies x

Oh cool! With his birthday so close to Christmas, I feel like I want to spoil him on the other holidays since it's so long until he gets presents again!

She may still want to find some eggs in the grass if she's walking. Last year we did a big egg hunt and made some of the eggs into shakers with rice/beans and sealed with electrical tape. You could also put raisins or goldfish in them. And my daughter would have been excited over applesauce and yogurt last year. She doesn't know that most kids get chocolate for Easter.

Fab - I feel the same. We have decided that we will do a party on 28th June as all her friends weren't able to come to her birthday. We'll carry on doing that until she's old enough to make her own mind up.

If she's not up for raisins yet you could always do Cheerios instead.

Sheryl - She LURRRVES raisins. Might get her some of the yogurt ones for a treat ;) x

We did the yogurt raisins first. She LOVED those too. After church today she wanted to hold her backpack and next time I looked at her she was eating a box of raisins. Balloons and bubbles would also go over really well.
