Is anyone else eating MORE after giving birth than before?? Especially if you're breastfeeding? I was looking forward to seeing the weight come off, and now I'm worried I might end up eating more, not less! I get STARVING these days and end up eating a bit too much without even paying attention to it. I'm so jealous of all those moms who say "I just forget to eat." Haha, I NEVER forget to eat these days.

Anyone else feel like they're still eating for two even after giving birth? Are you regulating your diet or do you just eat what you need? I don't want to hurt my milk supply by dieting and plan to wait a while before really trying to lose the baby weight. With my first, I waited a few months and it did eventually come off, but I don't remember being this hungry!

Me I eat so much! I know I'm having way too many unhealthy snacks and meals but I can't help myself, my baby girl was born 3 weeks ago today via EMCS and I just don't feel up to eating healthily yet, I am breastfeeding and still finding it quite difficult however not had to do any top ups
I put on 3 stone during pregnancy and 2 weeks after I had her had lost 1.5 stone, however in the past week I've not lost a pound!!

I really struggled too, when your breast feeding your appetite just ramps up. I found drinking more and having lots of healthy snacks around to graze on as much as possible really helped.

I enjoyed sugarsnap peas, bananas etc which were all handy x

I was/am the same. My son is 9 months and is breastfeed, and I'm always hungry. I lost 4.5 stone before having him, lost the 7lb I gained during pregnancy after a week and now I'm 1 stone heavier :-( I suggest stocking up with fruit, veg and easy to get healthlt crackers, oat cakes or things like that if you don't want to gain any weight. The hunger is terrible and so easy to let it get the better of you xx

Oh yes! When Babs was first born I was SO hungry, all the time! At dinner I'd have thirds or fourths lol. Also, I was thrilled to be able to eat a lot since while I was pregnant I would get pain in my abdomen if I tried to eat seconds! That lasted for the first month or two, then I went the other direction and stopped feeling hungry and stopped eating so much, went back to skipping breakfast, etc. Now it's evened out, I'll have a small breakfast, normal lunch, seconds at dinner. Since I'm breastfeeding I've kind of just let my appetite regulate itself, I don't skimp on food if I'm hungry. I also don't eat out much, I eat homemade food most of the time.

This is happened to me and I didn't breastfeed. My penchant was for anything sweet. When I was pregnant I craved savoury and in the first 4-6 weeks after DD2 was born it was literally like my body was craving and making up for all the sweet things I hadn't eaten when I was pregnant. I had a thing for cake. It was awful.

Me me !!!!! Thank goodness I'm not alone !! I'm starving all the time !!! I'm addicted to salt and vinegar rice cakes !! And popcorn ... Last time it was fresh cream cakes . These are my post preg craving !!!! I need to stop eating soo but just can't !! Lol...

I'm not having success breast feeding and I'm still getting hunger. I was not too hungry the first two weeks but it hit me like a ton of bricks today. I'm so hungry! I'm back to my normal weight and worried I'm going to start gaining (I'm on the high side of my normal range, ideally I want to get down five more pounds). I'm not sure what changed because I was barely feeling hungry before today.

I was absolutely starving post partum for about 8 weeks. Unfortunately my LO was born just before Christmas and we host family at our house. This means there were enormous quantities of cakes and cookies and other baking in the house, and tons of leftovers once everyone had left. Normally we eat very healthy but for about a month after Isla was born I ate pretty much nothing but baking and sweets! It was awful but I just couldn't help myself, I was starving and my body was craving sugar so badly! Things calmed down after a couple of months though and I am now back to eating normally.

I'm also hoping it'll calm down a bit in the next few weeks. My postpartum belly is pretty big and it embarrasses me!

I love that your username is chocolatec! Yes I was the same, I'm still struggling with it tbh! But most of the time I don't care so that is part of the problem. I'm sure your belly is not that big, it always seems bigger when we look down on it all the time
