Hi ladies, quick question.

I sold a pie maker on eBay, it's quite heavy so the postage was £7. It was brand new in the box and never opened, and had never been mishandled by myself, but stupidly I didn't check it over before I sent it. Now the buyer has emailed me saying it is smashed up inside and wants a full refund. I asked her to send it back to me for a full refund, but if it is indeed smashed up, am I oblige to refund the postage costs of her sending it back to me as well? Otherwise I'd be happy just to see a picture of the damaged item. Can I claim the cost back off the post office?

Many thanks ladies xx

id personally want to see it physically to know its broken but not sure if you need to refund her p & p though im assuming u might have to, before doing anything contact ebay customer service and ask them what your legal requirments from there so your not guessing x

I would ask her for a photo and claim back the p&p of you sending the item (and if you have a receipt) the original cost of the item back from the post office.
