I got my results letter from my DR today RE my anomaly scan last week. She said everything looks great and we're right on for my EDC as March 13th.

I did some looking around, and discovered EDC is the same as EDD, and EDD means estimated date of delivery or estimated due date.

Based on my dating scan, my due date was March 19th. I have to have a C-section because my pelvic opening is too narrow and my dr doesn't want me to go beyond 39 weeks because I live out in farm country and 1.5 hours away from the nearest hospital capable of taking care of a ruptured uterus.

I was wondering if anyone has had a dating scan, an anomaly scan, and have their due date change? If it changed, was it because of the known c-section or was it because the original due date was off?

With my first DS my EDD was 10/20 based on LMP. Then when I had my ultrasound it estimated 10/4 due to baby's size. The doctor said we were going with the due date from LMP so left it 10/20. My DS was born on 10/30 by EMCS, he weighed 7lbs 6oz. So its a good thing they didn't change it based on scan. The day I had him they did a scan in the hospital and estimated that he weighed 8lbs 11oz so they were definitely off. Hope this helps :flower:

Edd nov 2 based on scan, nov 5 based on lmp. The dc said they go by lmp for me because it was the latest date. My c was scheduled for a wk before the 5th, althought according to charting/temping and knowing when I O and conceived, my nov 2 scan date was right on, so my C was scheduled just 4 days before dd. a little nervewracking for me worrying about going into labor sooner, cause i live 30 m from the hosp in farm country, which can take longer depending on weather.
