...does it feel shite?

I was buggered last time I had any kind of anaesthetic. This is just a sedative but I will still throw up, I know I will.

I felt a bit light headed and dizzy when I came round from the sedation. I had a reaction to the side effects of morphine about 6 years ago, so when I mentioned this I was given anti-sickness drugs before getting the voltarol and other stuff, and then I needed another anti-sickness drug when I was coming round again. The toast and tea you get afterwards is the nicest food you have ever tasted...

I was given three different anti sickness drugs when I had lap and dye and I still threw up constantly and could not keep down water when I 'came round'.

Is it just like an injection for egg collection?

Mine was done by a line into the back of the hand.

I'm not actually bothered about possible discomfort. I just ended up in a pretty bad state after Lap and Dye because my body does not tolerate mind altering drugs very well and it seems that anti sickness stuff does nothing for me. It's the only part I am not looking forward to really.

Hi,

I'm worried about the egg collection as well. I've heard some clinics put you under general anesthetic. My clinic doesn't, simple sedation. But on the clinic's website there is a video of a woman having it done, and she looks perfectly alert and fine. That sort of scares me. I don't like pain.

What clinic is your one? I know they only do it under sedation at my hospital and I doubt they would give me a general after last time (was a complete and utter state, kept apologising profusely for being such a mess)...
