What age can they have eggs? I heard something about only giving them the yolk but I wanna make scrambled egg for my LO? Anyone know if its alright for him to have all the egg please? hes 6 months.
I think most sources recommend delaying egg whites until 12 months, as they are a common allergen, but I know several moms who have done them earlier.
I have been giving egg yolks since shortly before 6 months; I hard boil eggs then mash the yolk only. Hardboiling makes it really easy to get just the yolk, and it's well cooked that way I add water or formula because on its own it's quite dry.
I gave them to my daughter at 6 months, but i'm scared thistime round, probably because they were preemies (5 weeks so not extremley preemie) but would love to start soon,it just seems like such a healthy meal for them.
I gave yolk after 6 months and whole egg now that ellis is 9 months. Its really easy to separate the yolk and just make scrambled eggs with the yolk-also means you can use the white for your own low cal hollywood eggwhite omlette!!!
I gave Hannah scrambled eggs at around 10 months and she LOVES them!! Cook them with loads of butter and a bit of grated cheese thrown in. Just make sure they are cooked thoroughly.
