Elf on the shelf help!

So we are starting elf on the shelf this year, our elf has been delayed in the post but should be here tomorrow, anyone think of any good introduction ideas suitable for an 8 year old?

Hi if you look on pinterest there are loads of ideas including an intro letter which would be great for an older child like yours

There are loads of ideas on Pintrest but I really like this one and may do it next year. Although with a different sign if it is the first time.
