Embry for a boy ?

Sounds like a girls name to me. I don't know anything about Twilight other than it's not my kind of thing.

love it! in my top ten, only ppl that wil get the twilight reference are twilight fans anyway so don't think you'll get many negative comments

Except for people who do reproductive biology at school...

I haven't read twilight... I was more in the Harry Potter generation... But I definitely wouldn't call my kid like Hermione or anything. I like Luna but Harry Potter is the reason I crossed it off my list. I just think that, if you pick a name that's really heavily associated with a celebrity or some sort of fad - then they'll get picked on when it fades out.
Like, calling your kid Beyonce or something. Saying that, he's your baby and if you like Embry then go for it. :)

I work with pregnant moms, and the other day one of them said she is considering naming the baby Beyonce!!!!! Seriously!

I like it. :) My little girl's middle name will be Isabella. :) Got to love Twilight.

Hermione is actually a traditional English name, and quite popular even without the film. Embry is just a made up first name by an author, as is Carlisle. Yes, these are normally surnames or place names but they are not traditional, used first names like Hermione is.

 Can't stand Twilight, but that's a lovely name for your little boy xx
Speaking of names like this, my sister had the name Hermione chosen for a girl if she'd had one, and didn't end up using it for obvious reasons...:haha:

hahahahaha!!! seems like the majority automaticly see embryo..ahh well. Thanks all for your imput on the name..
xxx

my cousin has just had a lil girl and called her Esme...
there is gunna be a massive amount of kids with the Twilight names!

i already have an isabelle=bella, but she's 3,i just liked the name, seems it may become more popular but it is a nice name.
ironic but her full name is issabelle rosalie, that was before the twighlight saga.
xxxx

I must admit, when I saw this title I just thought 'Twilight'... it's a nice name but there are going to be obvious connections.

Same here. I think there's gonna be a surge of Bella, Edward, Embry, Jacob, Esme, Rosalie, Jasper, Carlisle etc etc

I agree, But at least the majority of the names in Twilight are pretty traditional sounding and not names that would be called "chavvy" (sorry didnt want to post examples!) a surge in names like that would be awful.

I really liked the name Isabella before I read Twilight. However I figure since Twilight that there would be a million Isabella's. So we decided to use it as her middle name.
