emergency section

Hi i had an emergency section on the 15th of july because my placenta abrupted

luckily me and baby are both ok now and just a matter of healing for me.

i have just had 22 staples removed and i have a small opening on the right hand side, i have been told to keep an eye on it and the mw will ring me tomorow to see if its ok. anyone been through this.

i think im still in shock as it still feels very sureal

Congratulations on your baby!!! Did you have placenta previa as well?
After my first c-section (emergency as well), I ended up with a slight opening with some drainage. Thankfully it never turned into an infection. I always kept the area well cleansed and dry. I now have a larger keloid scar right there. It is at the spot of insertion for the surgery.

nobody mention placenta previa just the placental abruption.

its only slightly open on the right side of the scar at the start of where the incision would have started or ended.

im just worried it will split more or get infected
