How do you know if your baby has emptied a breast? Do they feel different - the breast, not the baby! :laugh2: By the way I'm asking from the point of view of a woman trying for her first so I've never been pregnant before let alone breast fed but it's definitely what I will choose to do if and when and all being well.

They do! It depends on how full they were, how much your baby has had etc. But it can be like the difference between a blown up balloon and a deflated one for me anyway!!!

x

It depends on lots of factors - how old your baby is, when they fed last, which side how long. In the early days you will know easier than after 3 months when your boobs stop filling and emptying and just produce it as required.

Mine never feed any different theses days - I just know. :)

At the moment I can usually tell by feeling the weight of each lol!!!!!

Or sometimes if I look really carefully ones bigger than the other (but not always) but as Mervs mum says that should change as my breasts settle down.

When mine are full I can tell because when I touch them they are rock hard, and when their empty, they are soft and squidgy x

Wow thank you ladies. It makes total sense but it's something I had never even thought about before.
