I just had surgery for stage 2 endo and found out that I have PCOS as well. I had bloodwork done last week to hopefully get the PCOS under control. I think that she is going to put me on metformin.
I found out a few years ago that I have Hypothroidism ( it was 5.5 ). They put me on 25 mcg a day and that dropped it really low so I started taking just half a pill a day. I started reading post on here that thyroid problems can also cause fertility problems...
Just as soon as I think that I am getting one thing under control, here comes another one. It seems like every problem that I have will keep me from getting pregnant.
My PCP very strongly urged me to go see a RE but my ins will not cover that so I told him I will have to take my chances. He gave me the most hopeless look and said "well". I told him that I am trusting in a higher power. I have one amazing miracle and I know that God had his hand on me with him. I just needed to vent a little.
Is anyone else dealing with these three things??

Hey! I had stage 3 endo removed along with 2 fibroids n March after ttc #1 for a year and a half. I wanted to tell you that I have NO IF insurance coverage, but my RE as coded everything under the endo (even before I had my lap to dx it he coded it this way because he said it was a strong possibility I did have it!). My doctor said ther might come a time where the procedures we were doing would obviously not have anything to do with the endo, but up until then he would code everything like that. He told me he wasnt going to lie to insurance but he would try to help me out. I would tell your Re that you don't have Ny coverage and see what he/she can do. So far insurance has covered a small portion of everything we have had done. Good luck!! Hope this helps some!

I am going to try for a little while with meds and see what happens. I might call to see what they say.
Thanks

I have Hashimoto's (aka auto-immune hypothyroidism) and I started meds at 5.5 as well. To be technical a lot of doctors wouldn't even consider you to have hypothyroidism until your TSH reaches 6 so your lucky they caught it early. Also, you are on a VERY low dose and it (I am guessing) is keeping you in a healthier range for pregnancy. As long as you are meeting with your doctor regularly and doing regular blood work it shouldn't cause too many problems ttc. However when you do get your BFP make sure you see your doctor ASAP cause pregnancy will throw your levels all off and that will be unsafe for the baby.

Good luck!

Thanks... I just got it back today. It was 3.6 so I guess that little bit is helping. I think my gyn is going to start me on metformin.
