the man in the shop completly put me off bt you girls have got me back on the idea and its true girls might back off abit then he will probly take it off when im not with him lol hopefully not!
anyone know of any good places to get nice n good priced rings then? my budget is abit tight atm coz of the baby but i think anything he wil be happy with

lol i have never ever heard of a man having an engagement ring, other than in gay relationships lol.
if i saw a man with an engagement ring i would presume he was gay, but maybe thats bad of me

It's normally just the woman who has an engagement ring, never heard of the gay marriage thing though! Maybe you could get him something else, like a bracelet as a sign of your engagement? Just an idea

I've never heard of a male engagement ring but I've heard of promise rings (which come before engagement) and guy's wear those as well as the girl, only the girl having one is a just a case of tradition, you should do whatever you want

I don't see how wearing a engagement ring is gay at all. To be honest I don't particularly see the difference between a engagement ring and a wedding band either since mens engagement rings generally don't exist and you'll just end up using a wedding band as one anyway.

I don't know maybe it's just me but I couldn't give a crap what anyone else thinks of me and whatever I feel comfortable in doing is what I feel comfortable in doing. Wearing a ring making you gay? Preposterous...really really preposterous...

i don't really know about rings, but its traditional to get the guy something of a keepsake kinda thing that he can wear to remember he's engaged iykwim, i think a watch is the most common thing given to a guy x

My best friend decided she was going to propose to her OH & bought him an engagement ring & sent me a pic of it via text. He saw the pic & said 'ugh that ring is horrible, who's is it?' & she felt so bad she didn't do it!

Luckily he proposed to her a month or so later! He still won't wear the ring though...
