Yes I know exactly how you feel. I didnt breastfeed DS for more than a few days, had loads of latch problems but didnt get the support I needed. Then by the time I did it was too late and he went on nursing strike and I ended up expressing for 4 months (although I had low supply as I never got established so he only got a couple of oz a day so looking back it wasnt really worth the amount of time I spent pumping every day).
DD I have breastfed for 4 months but I have had to introduce formula due to poor weight gain and reflux, a bottle of anti reflux formula she can keep down, BM with Infant Gaviscon she still vomits. Even though as a family I know it would be better for us to stop I just cant and have got it down to expressing 3x daily 9am, 3pm, 9pm then she has 1 breastfeed in the night. All the rest of the time she has formula and is finally thriving and is a few oz off doubling her birth weight. It is lovely to know that I can be out around those times and not have to worry about BF or expressing and we have a routine which is nice. Just got to drop the expressing...............or at least the 3pm one..........
