Just wondering if any of you have dealt with having epilepsy and being induced? My doctor at my last appointment 26 weeks mentioned delivery to my husband and I. He is supposed to be speaking with the doctor I see at maternal fetal medicine to decide on a delivery route... He suggested 38 week induction and told us mothers with epilepsy have a higher risk of still birth in late pregnancy than others. He also said we needed to keep up on the growth scans because the epilepsy can cause the baby to have restircted growth. SO on the 22nd at my 28 week appointment he's supposed to let us know if they're going to induce at 38 weeks or earlier and then if they want to do a c section or let me try vaginally. Anyone been in this situation?

I have epilepsy and was induced at 38 weeks,im in the uk though so things may be diffrent where you are.

I'm in the US. Did your doctor in the uk induce because of epilepsy or other concerns? Any issues with seizure during labor?

I have epilepsy and Haven't been told anything about higher risk of still birth in late pregnancy. Although i'm gonna beg for a sweep tomorrow cause my RLS is killing my sleep, and sleep deprivation and I've been having break through seizures. I am gonna have to bring up the still birth to my doctor tomorrow, thanks for the info ladies!

I was induced at 38 weeks down to the epilepsy alone,my seizures were wild,I didnt have a fit during or 48 hours after,I did have 3 vacant seizures on the 3rd day.(i have multiple types of epilepsy)

I was told today that I would not be induced, but now I get weekly Non stress tests.
