Hi ladies!
I ended up in the emergency room with my DD ( 1 month old today, switched to FF from BF last week) because she broke out in hives and turned bright red. Poor thing was screaming and digging at her face. Come to find out she is having a reaction to the milk in the formula,so she is now officially on nutramagin. My first DD had this, but I figured this LO was okay because she was doing okay with the gentle formula until now. I felt so bad for her.
The ER dr.'s were so dumb. I told them I was worried it was a milk allergy and that my first was on nutramagin. They didn't even know what nutramagin or alimentum ( similac version) were. They had to call her pediatrician because they didn't believe me about there being hypo-allergenic formula. They thought they had to give me a prescription. I swear every emergency room should have a pediatrician on call!!
My poor baby is feeling so much better now that I gave her the nutramagin.
