erpc 7 weeks after supposed m/c

hi well went for a scan today as i was testing positive on a hpt , my miscarriage was 7 weeks ago and i thought i had passed everything , and then bled for 3 weeks, turns out the fetus is still there and they know its not a new pg cos the sac is irregular shape and there are signs of it breaking up.
so now have to go in to have it all removed, i cant believe this is happening after all this time, and feel like its happened all over again, and the worse thing is they would still be doing nothing if i had not been pushy about having a scan.

they think the big clot i passed might have been a sac and that its possible i was carrying twins again.

Aw sweetie thats so upsetting to hear. How are you feeling about that. Its terrible that the docs wouldnt scan you right away. You poor darling. Cant imagin having to go through it all again. You must feel like you will be grieving from the start again?

thanks all it is horrible having this now as i was just starting to feel positive again,the nhs should listen when we something is not right , we are the best judge of our bodies not them always.

i totally agree they never do, i had a similat situation and they never listened till i got rushed to hospital!!!.

I just had a ercp/d&c yesteray and honestly feel so much better. Granted i didn quite have the same situation as you..although i thought i passed it all as i had the most godawful weekend before last (total tmi material) and couldnt believe it when i went in for my scheduled scan last tuesday to check on the mc (as i obviously had been bleeding- a lot!) and it was all still there..

Anywhoo..i do hope and pray you feel much, much better and that you can get some closure to all this.. Its all a bit crap this mc stuff..but with time you will feel better..

So sorry... what a heartbreak. I think it's a good idea to take advice from the doctor and wait until you get one AF to begin to try ...in order to prevent confusion in the future.

well it was not too bad and now have no cramping and hardly any bleeding , and feel like its over now and i can start to move on and think about the future. i will never forget my little lost angel,but now i can start to look forwardand put this horrible m/c experience behind me. i think i will do a hpt in a week or so though just to make sure my levels have gone down and there can be no mix up in future.and will try an wait for my af to arrive before ttc again.
