Essie or Elsie?

I prefer Elsie and think it's really pretty, I've not heard of Essie before and sounds more like a nick name than a name in itself? I love Emmie but I have to admit I think Elsie and Essie are too similar to Emmie so I don't think they go well, I think names sound nice together when they compliment each other and aren't too similar, but obviously we all have different opinions :)

I like Elsie of the two but I would go with Emmie and Effie!

I think both names sound and look to similar to emmie but that's just me ... I love Elsie tho x

i don't think elsie and emmie are too similar at all. We're naming our daughter ivy and already have an evie!

That's interesting, we have an evie and I love Ivy. I kept adding it to my shortlist then removing it, but hearing someone else using both names together might just make me consider it again :)

Emmie and Essie sounds a bit like you're picking letters of the alphabet and making them cutesy (M and S) and makes me think of a baby version of the store Marks and Spencer. "Just nipping down to Emmie and Essie to pick up some really posh toys for the little ones..."

Maybe I'm nuts :haha:

Definitely Elsie!
