Looking into making my own cloth diapers and was planning on buying some patterns on etsy. Just wanted any suggestions on any type, AIO, AI2, pockets, fitteds and covers. I haven't tried any but really wanting to try side snaps. I have all one size and so interested in trying to make sized diapers as my daughter is at an awkward size and we are experiencing a small amount of wicking atm.

Open to any other online places to get patterns as long as they sell to the US.

I googled it and got a lot of free patterns, I don't know if you'd have to pay to get a good one!

If you're really crafty you could take apart a diaper you already have? I'm not that crafty, so I can't attest to the effectiveness of this process lol

Well, I'm kind of lucky because my mom has been sewing since she was a little girl so we could use a diaper as a pattern but mine are all one size and I'm looking for some sized patterns. I found a fattycakes pattern on etsy that I'm going to try first. Does anyone know how easy that pattern is to make? I'm a beginner when it comes to machine sewing and will have help to get me started but just curious. And how is the fit of the finished product?

You should still potentially be able to use a one sized to make a sized pattern, it's just shortening lengths of the front panel and sides. In fact you could keep it poppered to the size you want when measuring/creating the pattern.
However I've been looking also and there are tons of tutorials and patterns. I haven't tried any yet as I need to get some material but seeing as your newish to sewing this sort of thing you'd probably be best finding a pattern that comes with a picture tutorial also to help you along :-)
Let us know how it turns out!
