With my induction i had the drip, monitor, gas and air and still was allowed to move around. Infact i gave birth upright. I dont think there is any excuse for making you lie down. I was adamant that i wanted to be able to stand and they were great about it.

Im sure youb baby was worth every pain! He is gorgeous. x
