After the induction stalling at 8 cm for almost 10 hours I was finally taken in for a c-section. Not my first choice but having a baby at 31 weeks wasn't my choice either!
HOWEVER, he came out of the c-section WONDERFULLY! Little Everett was born at 6:30am on July 19th, 2011. He weighed 3 lbs and was 15 inches long. AND PERFECT!
We heard him crying right away which is a great sign for a preterm baby. So far he has been doing so good! The only thing he has on him at the moment is some oxygen from a nasal cannula and only at 20 which is pretty much nothing. It's just there to keep his airways open. One of the nurses even said he is more developed like a 34-35 week old baby than 31 weeks.
He is suuuch a trooper! We are so blessed to have such an amazing baby boy. I KNOW he'll do great.
SOOO HAPPY!
