Everything going wrong again

Well I am now 27dpo! I have PCOS and been trying since 1999 but last year everything started going right again and had regular periods for a year, this cycle though no period and BFN on tests. Went to docs who were really unhelpful, did not offer blood tests or anything and then told me I am entitled to no help at all as OH has kids, so not Clomid or anything. This is absolute crap. She said I may be pg but not showing on HPT but said just wait and see. What a cow.

Sorry to rant but I am so upset and annoyed.

I have made another app with another doc for Tues but to be honest I just feel stupid now and nervous about going, have spoken to a private hospital and it will cost £50 for a private blood test but if docs not helpful i will go down this route just to 100% rule out pregnancy to be safe for xmas.

Hey hon,

How can they say that you're not entitled just because OH has kids. It's your body that you want help with, not his. That sounds unbelievably cruel of this Doc. So do they think that you should wait around wishing and hoping, just because you know OH is ok. Surely that should just negate the need for anSA for OH and allow you to move quicker onto your investigations. The clomid shold be for you not him.

Aaaarrrrrggggghhhh it makes me sooooo mad. I'm gutted that they're being like this with you. I would have major complain next week.

Go and see this other doc,explain everything, they should without a doubt offer you all the bloods etc...

That's disgusting that they wont give you Clomid cos your partner has kids! Surely that can't be the way the laws work? I really hope a different doctor will be much more helpful. Seriously, I think doctors should get their heads out of their god-complexed asses.

They should be able to do blood tests and give you clomid, my docs did and my Dh has a child from a previous relationship. Its only if you already have children in your current relationship iykwim that they don't tend to give as much help as they try to focus on childless couples. Hope that makes sense!

you need to find someone that is in tune with you and take you seriously...

Oh chick, sound like its well worth booking in to see a new Dr ... the 1st one I saw was ok .... the the 2nd has been brilliant ... it really does vary from person to person.
hope you can find a nice Dr who can help .. the fact your OH has kids is NO reason why you cannot have tests or something like clomid

I've heard about them not giving IVF if a partner has kids but not Clomid. Your partner having children does not dictate whether or not you ovulate...
