hi,

wondering if someone could give me some advice. My LO was born at 37 weeks, and was being ff sma gold, however this happened to be to rich, and after visit from HV we changed her ff to CnG comfort. She is currently 7 weeks old.

Now LO is coming out with excess saliva, to the point that i have been woken up hearing her cough and choke with the amount. Its very watery no milk.
Does anyone know what is causing it and what I can do to help, is it CnG comfort milk that is causing it?

Secondly, she strains herself really hard to pass wind, again its been keeping me up and usually starts after her night feed after 4am, and its non stop strainng and pushing which i can hear. Any ideas what this may be, shes not constipated.

thanks
K

Never heard of any formula that would cause excess saliva so im unsure on that one, maybe your LO is just a drooly baby? but if she is choking on it i would be worried too.

As for the passing wind...i think thats all it could be...just wind. If she is bringing her knees up to her chest then that would definately be wind. Maybe try picking her up when she starts straining and pushing and try winding her again?

hope this helps x
