Excessive fluid: soo worried now. Polyhydramnios.

I've just got back from a doctors appointment (and just remembered I forgot to tell her something) I've been having period like cramps and BH for the past 3 days as well as two episodes of feeling like I was going to collapse yesterday. . Well apparently it's all because of my excess fluid, my uterus is stretched to a 36/37 week pregnancy. She's told me I need to stop lifting my 12.5kg toddler, they've told me this since they've know about my pelvis but it's easy for them to say huh. She even told me not to lift my toddlers backpack, any extra weight now can make my membrane rupture.

Has anyone been told anything like this before?
She's just my normal gp so will talk to my obstetrician on Tuesday.

Feeling very tired, achy and deflated today. Hope you girls are well xx

I moved the pack and play and swing along with other somewhat heavy objects the day my water broke...

So is true then.
I can't stop lifting/carrying my toddler especially while she's all for mummy at the minute, so clingy.

I'm hoping if baby's well and healthy she comes a tad early. I'm over all this pain with my pelvis and the BH. In a few weeks though, I don't want her to come now and spend weeks in NICU and be poorly.

xx

I have polyhydramnios to an my AFI is 36 I have been having strong bh an mild cramping for weeks an also have a toddler that likes to be picked up cuddled etc an I have been ok. Obviously everyone is different but it's hard work trying not to do normal day to day things x

36, have you had regular scans?
Mine was 28.4cm at my 30+2 scan. I have another scan in 3 weeks and they have said if my levels remain high or are higher I'll be admitted.

These BH and period like cramps are driving me crazy and so uncomfortable. I never had anything like this with my daughter.
It certainly is hard work to not do normal daily activities.
They warned me at 20 weeks no more housework, no lifting my daughter (due to my pelvis) but it's easy for them to say. I need a clean house, my daughter and I both need cuddles lol.

xx

Yes I had my first scan at 26+4 an it was 25 then I went 4 weeks later it was 35.6 then after 2 weeks it was 29 then I had my last one on tues an it was 36. I am diabetic so I know that's why I have the extra fluid but it's so uncomfortable I can't physically stretch anymore. I had steroids at 30 weeks as I was in hospital with bh coming every 3 mins but I think due to the amount of fluid they are more intense than norm.al bh. If you don't think something is right get checked out x

Oh you poor thing. Glad they're keeping an eye on you. Will they admit you at any time? Odd question but are you anxious?

I'm anxious of my waters breaking on their own or going into labour. As I was induced with my daughter I don't know what to expect.
My GP said today because the uterus is so stretched that's why the BH are more intense and frequent. I can have up to 40 in an hour. And got this constant dull ache.
Yesterday I also had two episodes where I felt I was going to collapse and couldn't focus, I went clammy but not had it since and don't know if it's related to anything.
I think I'm gonna wait til my appointment on Tuesday as I guess no one knows better than the obstetrician hey.

Do you think leaving me 4.5 weeks between scans is ok? xx

My section is booked for 3 weeks time as I had an emcs with my dd. They told me at my last appt that they want to deliver me by elcs this time.

I'm petrified that my waters will go when I'm on my own or just me an dd an I am scared I'll go into labour before my elcs.

Everytime I get cramps etc I start to worry as the consultant is constantly
Saying about how I'm high risk of pre term labour etc I will be glad when it's over.

An I think the scans every 4 weeks is ok i had the extra ones as they are saying the baby is measuring big aswell :/ x

Everyone is so different ive never had BH with either pregnancy. My waters never broke until my labour was well under way and the nurses broke them for me so the risk of trapping the cord was reduced. I had been having contractions for about 8 hours by that point. The day before i went into labour i had a scary moment where my toddler had an accident and i leapt up suddenly (not easy to do at 38 weeks with poly lol) but after that i felt uncomfortable all day and i started feeling my contractions early the next morning. I was on my feet most of the next day as i had a final scan scheduled before my induction lol. The hospital was busy so i was waiting round for hours but actually was happy about it as i was scared my waters would break suddenly so was happy to have an excuse to hang about the hospital all day just in case.

Totally weird because with my first labour my waters went first an good hour before i had contractions so i was really anxious it would be the same with DD

I was put on modified bedrest w my poly...i was measuring 38 weeks at about 32-33 weeks...terrible...i also had a 1 year old to lift..
