Hi!

Does anyone take evening primrose oil? I'm wondering if it increased your CM, because so far for me I seem drier than normal!

I've never had a problem with EWCM as far as I could tell--I find it every month-- but this month I started taking EPO and drinking grapefruit juice every day as I figured I may as well work to increase the EWCM. Well, so far my entire area down there feels drier than most months. I'm getting CM but very scant....has anyone had this problem? I'm not really sure what to do. Maybe I'm not giving it enough time but I'm wondering if I should stop the EPO.

Does it even have any other benefits?

Thanks!

I don't believe it has any other benefits other than increasing fertile CM but I could be wrong. I took it up until OV this month for the first time and while my CM did increase I don't think it was really the EPO that did it. I started drinking at least 8 glasses of water a day and with that I've had a big increase in fertile CM as I've never gotten it before and for the first time this month I did! Best of luck and if you think it might be making you dryer maybe skip it for a month and see what happens or give it some more time :).

hi this is my 3rd cycle on it, first month there was not much change, last month i was like WTF is that, even dh was shocked!! and i didnt ov last month, well i dont think i did.
this month im only on cd7 and getting it already, really wierd but cant complain as i know cm will not be a problem
hope it sorts itself out for you xx

I'm on my first cycle and only finished my bleed 2 days ago but have already noticed a difference xx

Thanks everyone! Maybe I'm not drinking as much water as I usually do. Good idea!

I meant to ask how much EPO are you taking?

I'm taking about 1000 mg a day, sometimes 2000 if I remember to take it at night.

I just started taking EPO this cycle and I took it on average 1500 mg per day but never more than 2000 mg. I have also been drinking a lot of water and green tea but I have not noticed a difference this month.

I used to get EWCM every cycle but since we have been actively TTC (for four months now) I haven't noticed any EWCM so I decided to give the EPO and green tea a go. I am hoping that I will notice a difference next month...maybe it takes a month to take effect?

Good luck llampie! Isn't it just the luck? I feel that way too! I used to get it but now that I want it, where is it?

I have been taking 200mg every night since CD1 and have been drinking grapefruit juice since CD3.

I have to say I have noticed a difference, trying the sperm meets egg plan this mth so this am was CD8 and even Hubby commented there was a difference :haha:  sorry it that's all TMI.

Can you girls tell me which epo tablets your taking, have they got vitamin e in them? im trying to find some that dont have vitamin e in as im taking vitamins that already contain vitamin e?

Iv just bought the Tesco one's in a yellow tub, I am taking two @ night

To all the ladies drinking green tea:

there was a thread a month or so ago warning about green tea having an ingredient that actually absorbs folic acid. There was even a link to that thread, which was enough proof for me to completely give it up.

And to be honest, while I was drinking green tea, I didn't see much of a difference anyway.

Just to let you know. Folic acid is extremely important, and it protects the embryo from developing spina bifida. :winkwink:

Re grapefruit juice, I've been drinking gallons of it but haven't noticed that much of a difference, so I think I'm giving it up next cycle. I'm interested to see what other ladies have to say on EPO, as I'm willing to give it a try.

Most importantly though, I really need to start drinking more water. We are using conceive plus at the moment, and I am very moist during :sex:, but not sure if love juice is equally nourishing to the :spermy: as ewcm.

i take asdas EPO high strengh capsules 1000mg these do provide a sorce of vitamin E but as far as i can see all EPO does they do have an extra benefit they actually help regulate your cycle (very helpful if its currently a little all over the place) they also stop periods being as painful it was my family planning nurse that recommed i take them and they really have helped me. my cycle used to be only 17 days long its now at least 24 days and i am now definatly ovulating (previously docs thought i wasnt) i did have to take them for about 2 months before noticing any real changes

hope this helps x

I took 2000mg a day along with a vit E (to help it absorb). I took it for 2 months. I didn't see one single change in ANYTHING. GL to the others and hope you have success. As the above poster stated, I did hear that it takes at least 3 cycles. So, I'm hoping I will see some changes next month.

EPO can delay ovulation. I used Shatavari, it increases libido and I had almost a full 2 weeks of fertile cm.

EPO can DELAY ovulation? Oh no...that's not what I need!

I wanted to say since posting this I have noticed a change and am getting loads of EWCM today. But, I never lacked it to begin with so I don't know if it was the EPO or not. I'm also drinking tons of grapefruit juice.
