I have two bottles of infacol sat on the side, Jake does always have a lot of wind and he brings it up even an hour or two after his feed. Does this justify using infacol?

Im a bit worried about using it as I don't want to have to rely on it iykwim?
xx

I used it with H till about 3 months then it started coming up much easier after that. She was so uncomfortable waiting for the wind to come up otherwise. I found it brilliant - and it saved winding the poor little thing for half an hour with no result.

I'd highly recommend using it till it gets easier.

Just my opinion. :flow:

^^^^ ditto - we used it for Fynn until ohhhh lord till he was about four months.

IMO use it - whatever gets you through in the early days gets a thumbs up from me. x

I used it for my lo for the first 6 weeks and it really did help, shes only 9 weeks now but seems more able to bring up the wind with the usual patting/rubbing on her back.
I asked my hv if there is a limit as to the number of bottles of it you can use consecutively and if there could be problems using one bottle after another, she said no there wouldnt be any problems/ill health as a result. She did suggest after about 2 months stop using it and see if lo brings up the wind on her own, if she couldnt then carry on with the Infacol. xx

my lo is same she is 4 months next week and im gna stop it on her 4 month birthday fingers crossed she is ok with out it

My son is 16weeks and were just trying to wean him off it. My GP advised that when you use it, then your supposed to wean them off it as its a small drug dosage. Its helped him a lot. He didnt have much trouble with his wind but we didnt want it to be a problem in the fututre and that was our reason to use it.

do it! buy shares in the stuff! it really does work! we used it with H from week 1 and put it in with his bottle to make it easier to give him x

I was told that Infacol is one of those things you can give every day for as long as is necessary - We were giving it for every feed for weeks but it didn't make the slightest bit of difference to her colic. The HV told me to persevere with it, because it needs to be taken constantly to work. I wasn't very happy with that thought, so in the end I gave up on it and changed the milk and changed the bottles, and within a day or two she was colic free
