Just wondering if anyone has ever taken a test that showed a faint positive that disapeared after 20 mins and if you did were you pregnant? Its what I got this morning....

Don't want to read and run, but why don't you take another test, see what happens

Your not ment to read them after 10mins x

what kind of test was it? i know that on the lines, it should keep a positive up for 48 hours but some aren't like that

My OPK did this once the other day, and I've had BFN's since, I assumed it was a neg.
Chin up

It was just a cheap test from pound land, my DB is forcing me to wait a week to test again.... It was a pink dye test.... And ya I know your not ment to read it after ten minutes, its just that it TOTALLY vanished, Id understand if it had at least left a very very faint line, but it left nothing.....

one test i had, said the negative would fate completely. who knows, these tests are all so different. good luck! hopefully it'll just be a solid next time

Thanks hun, I know they can be weird, I wouldnt even be worried if it had gone in the first 5 minutes, it said to check between 5-10 minutes.... but it was deffiently solid enough to read with the lights off.... so it wasnt the evap line..... grrrr..... now DB is making me wait with the hopes that if it is positive it will be stronger and stay.....

the waiting is the worst part. counting down the minutes, agh!

i feel your pain. i'm 12 days late but BFN - i just want AF to come so we can get back to work :dohh:

Well Im not even regular at all, last af was in january this year, but thats normal to me, so I plan on seeing a doctor in a few weeks weither this comes out as a positive or not.... Just means I don't really have much of a clue of when I got pregnant if i even am.... I THINK I'd be about dpo 21-28 as I think I know when I MIGHT have O'd..... huff, so hard doing this.....

some of my positive tests cleared themselves after a few hours. I didn't take a clock to them or anything, haha, a few I used were "dead" after the first few hours passed.

as long as you got the positive within the allotted time, then my personal opinion is that congrats are in order! :D the fading positive shouldn't affect anything, it's that initial result that counts!!

Thanks hun, I REALLY hope your right, but I think I need a stronger positive before I can be convinced, so does DB lol. I'm so excited and trying to force myself to relaxe and not let my hopes be too high.... I could barely sleep last night with all these emotions spilling out.... Yesterday I cryed on and off for hours for no reason.... this is just evil.....

no problem! and I understand completely - it's so frustrating when you want a BIG BOLD positive and aren't getting it. I got a bunch of BFPs on CD 11 (obsessive) and none were very bold and blaring. I was disappointed. then I took a digital and was a lot happier with my results.

:hugs: poor thing, that is so frustrating! TTC is so tolling on the emotions. but hang on tightly with hope, because it's not likely that you got a negative test, especially with a pink dye! I bet if you post in the test results section, you'll get pounced on with congrats and reassurances. ;D lol.

however it's completely normal to not want to get your hopes up, so if that's your main concern then I encourage you to test again in the next few days and see. but I'm willing to bet I'll be seeing you bopping over to first tri soon! <3

REALLY hoping your right. I just don't understand why the test line would disapear so fast.... But it showed a faint but strong pink line.... DB is making me wait a few days before I can use the cheaper test I still have (saturday) then another few days (wednesday) for the more expensive one, hes also hidden them from me now.... I think thats probley for the best (even tho I can't sleep with this not knowing...)....

LOL! I get he's trying to help keep you from obsessing but that's cruel and unusual punishment! xDD

Fingers crossed for you and keep us posted! :hugs:
