False negative?

Help please ladies??

I'm four days late - day34. I'm normally day 31 with browny discharge for a couple of days before. I've checked my records and I've never been this late and I don't have any coloured discharged only white and creamy.

I tested this morning and got a negative. In the past a HPT out of curiousity has normally brought AF on with avengence. But today still nothing. I don't really have any symptoms to report and AF pains are very few/mild and mainly in the evening.

Is this just a cruel trick? I'm planning on testing again on Thursday if still no sign of AF and then book a drs appointment if it's still negative.

What do you think? Have you heard of false negatives?

Hi I may just be too early to test espicially if you ovulated late. How sensitive was the test u used as they can vary. Finger crossed for a BFP on ur next test good luck x

You may have ovulated later than you thought. I hope this is the case and your body isnt playing a cruel trick on you x x x

Even if ovulated on time some ladies do not get positives until their AF is over a week late, and there's even a lady on here that didn't get any positives but had her pregnancy confirmed by bloods.

Really hope this negative was just a 'false' for you and that you'll have better news next week.

Like the others have said, it depends on how sensitive the tests are, and you own body - you might be one of those who don't test positive until well after AF is due.

Many ladies don't get a until after 6 weeks keep testing hon and I hope this is it for you. x
