Hi, I was sorting through some old boxes and found an EPT test, it was a year expired and I tested it thinking it would definely be negative and it wasn't. Can there be a false +?

I've not seen one of those tests before, is it meant to be a + in the result window?

ept's are known for false positives even when they are not expired. I got some pretty convincing lines on them 2 cycles ago and they were false.

When there are lines in both parts like that, it suppost to be positive. I did a google search on it. What are the chances of it being accurate?

I am pretty sure positive on an EPT is a plus sign???

I just looked up the ept site and its a + that is positive, sorry hun

Yeah, EPT makes a + in the first window and a | in the second. a positive EPT would look like [+][|]

They are also FAMOUS for false positives, even when the test isn't expired so I definitely wouldn't trust it if it was out of date.

I'd go ahead and get yourself a pink dye test to confirm. Good luck.

I thought they might be the same as the CB ones, in which case that test definitely shows a negative then jacklightning, sorry :(

There's supposed to be a + sign in the left window for it to be positive. That test looks pretty negative. Sorry :(
