Hi everyone, Sorry if this is in the wrong part of the forum but i couldnt find anywhere else for this thread :)

Basically - I used to dye my hair black then i let it grow out for a while. I then decided to have my hair stripped at the salon wanting to go back to my original colour. But after paying £70 for a colour correction not all of the colour would come out so i was left with this

Now tonight i used Adee phelan hair stripper to try and remove more of the colour myself and IMO it looks a lot better than it did.

This is now

I now want to dye my hair Garnier Nutrisse 3.0 Ebony Darkest brown

https://www.superdrug.com/hair-colourants/garnier-nutrisse-30-ebony-darkest-brown/invt/200533/

What i want to know is will i need to strip my hair again on the lower part of my hair to try and make it all one colour before trying to dye my hair with garnier darkest brown or if i do dye it like it is now will it all be the same colour? If that makes sense?

Also - Sorry about the large pictures, Im not sure how to resize them

Thanks everyone :flower:

Hi

im not an expert but maybe just try the dye without stripping it gain and start at the top part so its on a good 15 - 20 minutes longer than the bottom part.

In my experience it's far more straightforward to go darker, than lighter. I think you should be able to just put the garnier stuff straight on :flower:

I would agree with starangel about doing the lighter bits for longer though :flow:

Update with pics once you've done it :p

Thanks, Ive already bought another box of hair stripper today so i think im going to use this first tonight when LO is in bed, it cant hurt to get more colour out first i guess. Then in the next few days ill try dyeing it dark brown. If anyone else has any more opinions id love to hear more

Thanks again girls

I would strip the ends once more to get it an even colour then dye it. I used to have hair that long and always used to have to use two strippers together so it might be worth buying one more and using them both avoiding the roots.

Also use two boxes of the chosen hair dye, it will even the colour out.

Apparently if u wanna go lighter u have to bleach ur hair first if its black

DONT use a permanent on stripped hair for a week-It will re oxidise back to black x use a wash out nice and easy
