Feeding ALL day.........

He went at it like a crazy man until midnight, then bam! He'd had enough! Slept until 5 and had a little feed, then slept until 7.30. He seems back to normal now,so can't complain. I think it's the not knowing when it's going to end that's worse.
Thanks for all support guys - you're all superstars!!!

Just found this thread as was looking for answers myself! I've been out of my mind with the sometimes constant feeding, although Gracie's 'frenzied boob' cravings are mainly at nights... which I've discovered is the most lonliest time as it feels I'm the only one awake! I'm wavering on introducing formula as everyone keeps telling me. I definitely underestimated how tough BF can be and I have huge respect for anyone who manages for longer than 24 hrs!!!

It's comforting to know I'm not on my own, and that (hopefully) Gracie is normal. She 3 weeks old today and still not up to birth weight.... so it's a worry, although she is slowly gaining weight.

I'm sooo glad I found the thread xx

Oh hun, sorry you're having a rough time. Oliver is at it again today! Not quite growth spurt stuff, but being very demanding on the feeding front. Just hang in there babes, it does get easier. I am still glad that I BF and wouldn't have it any other way.
Lets keep this thread open and give each other support on those "demanding" days!!!
Lots of love hun x x

Caitlyn isn't letting me do anything today. She was even latched on in the bath :|

oooo, it's so good to know there are other mummys out there going through the same thing!!!!!! I guess we are literally our baby's world right now!

Yes, lts keep this thread open if we can!!!

Stay strong everyone who is going through this too xxxx

I'm with ya Kat. Seths very near Olivers age, and he was up all last night, feeding almost every hour. I'm so tired, but even though he's asleep now, i can't sleep, cause i've got 3 other kids. Ahh well, hopefully i'll have a good night tonight. :)

Just thought I would ressurect this thread, as Oliver decided to go for it again yesterday!!! He spent all day feeding and just wouldn't be put down. I was exhausted. For some reason, when he does this, my legs ache. Like I've been walking all day.
At least he slept well though. Only up for his usual 4am feed and he's still asleep now.
So come on girls, some of your LO must have been growing a lot these last few weeks!!!

Snap!!!I'm having a nitemare with Abigail. And I have 3 other kids to run around after.I had to put her on bottles 2 weeks ago so I have an assortment of bottles in the fridge. Some 2oz/3oz/4oz!I can judge roughly which she needs but bloody hell what a fiasco and then the ickle bugger takes an hr to drink 2/3oz.None of the others were like this.

Right so we need matchsticks, caffine, snacks, remote control and dvd's to get us through this very demanding time, ummm what else have I missed?

Keep up the good work fellow Mummies xx

Hayden did that alot too, what helped me alot was having him in his sling or babyhawk, atleast it gave me a chance to do other stuff and have my hands free for the older 2

You forgot the 10 gallons of water we need to replace what they've guzzled off us!!!
It must be so hard when you have others to look after too. My hat goes off to you.

Hi guys - yep, still there with you ladies! Had a very boob demanding day today with Gracie!!!! Didn't manage to get any lunch, she was even screaming for more boob whilst I made a dash for the loo!!!! Have to say, I was really frazzled this evening and v short tempered so have come away for a break - thanks daddy!

But, on the upside, last week (after a frenzied boob filled few days) Gracie finally reached her birth weight and more! So the frenzy must have done it's thing! I am hoping for the same on the weight gain front this week! Although I'm sad to say I now supplement one formula bottle every other day for the last feed. Just to give me a good chunk of sleep to catch up. I'm not against FF at all, but feel sad I can't do it the way I want to. I figure Gracie needs me to fresh, calm and ready to cope with her frenzy - which I am after 3 hours straight sleep.

(my god - 3 hrs straight sleep.... cant believe I'm grateful for that.... where did my 8 hrs a night go??? lol)

Sooooooooooooooo glad it's not just me!

XXXXXXXX

I dont know how you guys do it ;) but good job...

Well Abi did eventually go back to feeding every 2/3 hrs but took so long to feed and at night bloody hell she non stop feeds from 7 till 11.Well any way I saw a thread on here about MAM bottles on buy one get one free.(I was wondering if it was the bottles that made it so hard for her to feed) I bought one pack and got one pack free a bargain and they arrived today and WOW!!!! Abi took 3 oz in 5 mins and yelled for more.I got 6 oz in to her and she slept for 2 and a half hrs woke up had another bottle and is sleeping again. She only has had the 2 so far but I've seen a dramatic difference. So If you mummys who are bottle feeding are still struggling then maybe try to change the bottles xx
