my LO just wont stop feeding at the moment. this has been going on for about a week now. he constantly wants to suckle to sleep but as soon as he falls he wakes up again wanting the breast. he us also sleeping less too and getting bad wind because he falls asleep without winding. last night he was suckling for over an hour and would just not go to sleep.

I am hoping it is a spurt but it has been going on for a week now, isnt that too long?

He is feeding every hour in the day but only for short periods. I was also with my friend the other day who commented that I was feeding him alot. Usually dex feeds every two hours but I am starting to think that this is too much as well.

any advice?

Sounds like a growth spurt tome. It shouldn't last too much longer, I think they can go up to about 10 days, so it should finish soon.

My LO is like this all the time. He's 6.5 weeks old and gained weight rapidly from his birth weight of 7lb11oz. He was 10lb15oz at his last weigh-in at 5 weeks. He wakes 4 times a night to feed and often poop as well. Will this subside as he gets older? How soon? Cos I'm knackered!

kaleb has been the same for over a week its so draining!! hope it passes soon xxx

yea sounds like the tenth week growth spurt to me. They get easier :hugs:
