Feeding to sleep

My LO has just started to feed to sleep. He never did this before but it's fine by me. My question is, how do you extricate yourself afterwards? I have to have his head on my arm to prop him up slightly when laying down so getting my arm out without disturbing him is not easy!

when his latch is strong, i lift his head with the other hand, and then shift the arm out, gently drop his head into the bed and feed him with the arm above his head.
