Sorry I just needed somewhere totals and say how I am feeling.

Right now I feel I could just haven sob! Coming up to my one year wedding anniversary and we've been trying for 15 cycles- each time it gets harder. We've just started using the cbfm (this is e second month using it).

At work 2 people are off on maternity. Two are pregnant. One if these pregnancies is the result of a one night stand. I have many friends who are now starting families/ announcing pregnancies. And I'm sure there will be more happening round chistmas time.

I want to start my family. I feel I'm doing all we can but nothing is happening :(

I think the fact it's a holiday season is making me think about it more than normal but ....:(

How do you stay positive?

It's hard to stay positive. I've been ttc for 17 months and had a m/c in October. What keeps me going is to close my eyes and imagine being pregnant, going into labor and being in the hospital with my new baby. Imagining what they will look like and i get the feeling of it's worth it. The pain and tears are worth it in the end for that miracle. Sending you babydust!

it might be worth checking you and DH just to make sure everything is working as it should

sorry I do not have any advice, I feel my AF is approaching and feeling down myself. TTC's just hard

It might be time to ask your doctor about doing some testing. They can do blood tests and an ultrasound for you to see if you are ovulating and if your uterus looks ok. He can have a SA done to make sure his swimmers are ok. If anything, that may give you a little bit of a peace of mind to know that everything is ok and you are both healthy!

Do you chart? That can help also...it could be something as simple as you are ovulating early or late and you are just not BDing on the right days?

I wish I could tell you that it gets easier, but it really doesn't :( Doing something active (like the testing or charting) always helps me.

Ooo I completely agree with previous posters, what a boost to the spirits it'll be for you to have a little help with this. I went in after 6 months (mind you I'm 14 years married and was 36 at the time) and my fam doc referred me to a fc which gave me SO much information to work with. There's nothing like figuring out what's going on. I'd want to know these things:
-day 3 fsh/estrogen levels
-day 21 progesterone level (did you ovulate?)
-how many antral follies in there
-amh test if possible
-are your tubes blocked?
-is his sperm OK
If one of those things are out of whack, you can tackle it. Then they also might offer you some chlomid or iui if you want it. I hope your spirits are renewed in the new year.

Also, if you aren't already using OPK's and softcups you should really try them. I was given less than 5% chance of conceiving and we've had 2 bfp with softcups.

Hey hunny. I've been trying almost exactly as long as you. My DH and I started TTC last year in Sept. Our 1 year wedding anniversary is coming up as well, on January 1. I totally know how you feel! I've gotten to the point that as soon as anyone I know announces a BFP I get in touch with them and ask them to keep me out of the loop. It's just too hard!

I agree with everyone else. It's time you go in and get some testing done, make sure you are O'ing, make sure you're uterus and tubes looks okay, and get your DH in for a SA. I started with testing back in June and it took until now to get a firm diagnosis and a good RE, so best not to wait too long.

I out of the blue stopped ovulating when my DH and I had been TTC for 6 months, so I ened up at the doctor earlier than many ladies. But since I had already had 6 perfectly timed cycles they thought there could be more wrong as well. The tests they ran for me were:

-SA for DH (it showwed he has borderline viscosity, followup showed the same?
-CD3 bloodwork
-CD21 bloodwork
-Thyroid Panel
-Ultrasound to check my uterus and ovaries
-HSG to check my tubes (contrary to what I'd been told, it did not hurt at all, in fact, it tickled at one oint and the doc had to tell me to hold still because I was laughing- haha)
-PCOS panel (which FINALLY gave me a real diagnosis!!)

The other thing that has really helped is charting my BBT so that even before the CD21 progesterone check I know if I have O'd or not. I've been charting for a couple years now and it has been an amazing help to both me and my doctors.

As for staying positive, well, I just take the days as they come. I don't think there is any magic trick that will help you to be happy, but there are things you can do to make things less hard. Getting all the testing done and coming up with a plan of action has definitely been a big help in making me feel less hopeless and more in control of my life, moving forward to IUI's has taken a lot of stress of my relationship with my husband and has allowed us to really connect sexually again, talking to other people who dealing with infertility has been an amazing source of strength, being open with my friends and expressing my needs has kept a lot of pregnancy talk out of my life, finding creative outlets and ways to vent my frustration has been good, and of course- keeping busy! The things that has helped me most though is the support of my husband. Because he's him, and because I told him we're not doing it any other way, he's gone to every appt, every blood draw, every ultrasound, everything. Having him by my side has been the biggest blessing. Out of all the advice I can give is don't shut your husband out. So many women do and I feel like it is such a sad situation to be in.

If you ever need someone to talk to or even rant at, feel free to message me. :hugs:
