Feel like my brain is exploding when I cough

Anyone have this? I do currently have some sinus/cold issues due to all my usual cold fixes not being safe for pregnancy. Anybody have any remedies? I have taken Tylenol, drank water, and napped and nothing helps.

It could be related to high blood pressure. I had high blood pressure issues before my pregnancy. Often people don't even notice when their blood pressure is elevated, but I definitely noticed mine. It would feel like my head was going to explode if I coughed, or raised my voice, or even had an orgasm. (Sorry, TMI.) I've been put on blood pressure meds now because of my prior history, but I know I wasn't having super serious issues with it yet because I never experienced my telltale headaches.

Of course, in your case it really could be a lot of things. It's worth asking your OB or midwife about for sure, though. Best of luck to you.

I had bp checked at last appointment and it was normal...even on the lower side she said!
