I just feel so depressed she isnt here yet, I know she is going to come when she is ready too but I had to take early maternity leave due to health problems and Ive been off for 7 weeks already now, my little boy has started school and Im really lonely during the day... Hopsital said her head isnt engaged and they will let me go 2 weeks over even though I had an emergency section last time :-(

I keep getting symptoms of early labour and building my hopes up but nothing comes of it...

Bit pointless but I just feel a bit down and wanted to vent! Thanks ladies xx

aww hun she will be here soon :hugs:
i know what you mean about the whole taking mat leave early, i was off sick from 18wks for 9wks, then 5wks of holiday then mat leave, so i haven't been at work since before 18wks its boring as hell and so lonely too so i understand what you mean, but it wont be long now :)

Hey chick, i am due the same day and have just started my 3 week of maternity leave and am getting board and impatient so i do feel for you, i made a list of jobs to do and thought i would spread them out over the next couple of weeks BUT i got board last week and did them all so i am now just sat round waiting for LO to make an appreance!!

xx

I totally sympathise - I've been off work since mid July and am now over by 9 days and, although I know it's totally illogical, I'm starting to feel really down about it and a bit of a failure to be honest!
My poor hubby is a saint for putting up with all the tears and mood swings of the last week. I keep getting Braxton Hicks first thing in the morning, just regularly enough to get me excited, and then they stop. Midwife couldn't do a sweep yesterday as not sufficiently effaced, but had a bit of a show ... which it transpires doesn't really mean anything.
Booked in to be induced on Friday afternoon, which I'm in two minds about really, first because surely it can't go on much longer, and secondly I'll have to go through the first stage into active labour on my own as DH will be sent home at 10pm. Plus most of those I know who have had a hard time through labour and delivery have had augmentation of some description ... Ho hum.
I guess we all just need to take it as it comes and relax ... and ignore well meaning family and friends checking for news ...
Sorry for adding my rant to yours - hope things sort themselves out soonest and that it all works out fine.
xx
