Feeling lousy after first 20 wk scan

How horrible.

I'm sure you had all these expectation of the first ultrasound and then they treat you like that..

I just had mine a couple of days ago too, anatomy scan and I also asked the lady "does everything look ok" and she very politely said "I'm sorry I'm not allowed to tell you anything but your midwife will go over everything with you after this". She did tell me the gender after asking if we wanted to know. She also had a big screen on the wall so I could follow everything she was doing.

I had my ultrasound in the midwife practice though... so it made things a little more easy. But still, that lady was very rude to you, it's definitely not your hormones! She had no empathy that's more the impression I got.

wow. I must be very lucky then. My ultrasounds were done in the hospital and we got pictures with every single one. She starts off doing her thing and when she is done she turns the screen for me to watch and to show me stuff. I can't believe what all you ladies deal with is the norm. I go for my NT scan tomorrow so I will let you know if anything has changed. My first scan was done because I went to emergency and she wasnt allowed to tell me then and she even said because this is an emergency scan not a normal one so results must be read by the doctor.

well I just came back from my NT scan and I got 7 pictures right then and there and she turned the monitor to me afterwards to show me the babe. So things have not changed since DD 2 years ago

That's how mine was too. It was only the gender they wouldn't show me. My tech was really nice, just really would not show or tell gender. They always turn the monitor after and show the baby. I have another ultrasound in a week and I am hoping this time they will show me the "boy parts" since I already know it's a boy.
