 found out my girlfriend is approx 5 weeks 3 day pregnant today...as you may have seen in other fourms (teen) i have been here before and lost a chid at 14 weeks approx which took loads out of me...im just so scared now of anything which could happen and i just cannot feel excited at all as afraid of anything happening again with my girlfriend....she had to have a scrape also approx 3 months ago after there was still about 3 cm of tissue still left in her womb

tonight she has been upset and crying becouse she has been in the bath and when she got out she said there was yellowish mucus coming out of her and it was quite alot...which i really dont know what this could be...

gosh it just feels like a whole roller coaster ride all over again with emotions and all this whats happening its so crazy.

It's totally understandable how you feel...First off, I think it's admirable how you support your g/f emotionally!!! Hats off, more guys should be like that :)
Second, yellowish and/or in general increased mucus is totally normal!!!! She can have a lot of that!!! it's not a sign of a problem! Elevated hormone levels cause it, so it's a good thing (of course if it's accompanied with itching or signs of infection then check with her OB but even that'd be more likely an infection rather than sign of m/c) Even spotting and light bleeding could be ok as long as she's not in severe pain and it doesn't turn in to serious bleeding. Hope all will be ok and wishing all the best!

Hey stevo, welcome back to you and Jen. Pregnancy after loss is, frankly, terrifying. It's really really hard but every milestone is an achievement and it eventually gets easier. The next time you see your little one after 'your' danger time (14 weeks) it'll hopefully seem a bit more real.

But you will both question every twinge and every symptom, it's to be expected. Excess cm is fine, it means her body is doing everything it can to protect that little bean.

We're here to support and reassure you both :)

Everythings scary - if you have cramps, if you don't have cramps - the main thing is she has you :) and you will both have a ton of support. Are you being more closely monitored this time?

Its natural to feel scared but at times like this you can only focus on the positive (easier said than done I know!) I wish you both all the best and I think she is fortunate to have such a caring partner
