Me, me, and me! It has gotten much worse, too! I'm actually losing my appetite because of it. If it doubles in strength again I don't know what I'm going to do.
It is by far my worst symptom! I told my husband I can't handle it anymore! It wakes me up at night. I can't even drink water without getting heartburn! I had it bad my first pregnancy too!
I remember getting it bad last time with my little boy but can't think when it started/or how far along I was. I used Gaviscon that I was getting free on prescription but it barely did anything. I've had some odd bouts of it this time with my little girl (I'm about 24wks) and I've used Rennies which have been better at least. I hope it won't worsen...I remember dreading lying in bed as I knew it was going to start the acid !! x
here too...I have had it pretty bad w/ all of my pregnancies. I saw my OB yesterday. I told him i was taking tums an zantac but it wasn't really helping so he said I could try prilosec. I hope it helps!
Definitely not a fun symptom. My son had a bit of hair when he was born and I had a bit of heartburn but one tums helped with him... now with being pregnant with my little girl, I am dying. One tums definitely doesn't help 90% of the time. Sigh. But I don't want to take anything harsh so I guess I will have to live with the acid. And I understand completely with the water setting it off!
mine is horrible and I've been dealing with it off and on since even before finding out I was pregnant. I mostly get it at night, and some evenings are worse than others.
with DS I didn't get heartburn until much much later in pregnancy, mostly mid to late 3rd tri.
Old wives tale is that if you have heartburn baby will have a full head of hair. With DS that was true...but makes me wonder if heartburn starts even earlier lol
I actually told my mom when I was telling her I was pregnant that I had been having heartburn bad and ms pretty bad (I told her at about 7 weeks) and first thing out of her mouth was that I was having a girl. Talk to her this past weekend and she is still set on the idea that I'm having a girl.
I take zantac for mine as that's what we have on hand as OH has heartburn pretty bad himself (something he's been dealing with for a few years now). And it usually works, but I'm one who doesn't like putting things in my body unless it's absolutely needed, ie tylenol, etc. So I usually only take it if I feel like the heartburn is going to make me sick.
So bad! The last few days it has started kicking in during the day and not just at night I don't remember if I had it bad with my ds or not, I'm thinking not because I'm sure I would remember that but it has been 8 years.
