i have a few little bits of clothes but everyone has said that they are going to be buying me some so i'm going to wait til a bit nearer the time to see what i've got and what i still need to get hehe

got some nappies (3 packs of first size so far)

i have got my big bath and my friends mum has got me one of those sponge things that the baby goes on for in there ... debating whether or not i need a baby bath though. What bath stuff do i need? How many towels?

i'm making my own bedding for the cot-bed thats coming on tuesday (i'm going to make 2 sets so that should do me til after LO arrives and i know whether i can buy pink or blue fabrics to make more.

I'm not using a moses basket as i've not got space for one as well as the cotbed, and i figured the cot-bed will do (bubs will be in my room anyways)

I've got a couple of knitted blankets that people have made for me and i've got a load of really pretty fleece to make some more but i duno how many i'll need or what kind? can you use the fleece blankets for a newborn?

I've got a steriliser that came with 2 or 3 bottles but i don't know if i'll need more than that or not? i know i'll need a breast pump because of excess milk etc but do i need extra things with that like storage bags for the freezer or what? and where do you get them from?

by a soother im guessing you mean a dummy? my friend is doing me a kinda nappy cake thing (but not in a cake shape lol just in a pretty box lol) and she's put a couple of dummies in that

maternity pads i figured i'd need hehe but again like how many ????
i've got one nursing top at the minute but i was planning more on a vest top underneath my jumper or a bigger top so that things stay covered lol and i don't end up spending a fortune on nursing clothes hehe

i've got a bouncer that my mum got for me which plays music and everything :)

sorry for all the questions ... im just feeling kinda overwhelmed with all the things that i need to get and things that im like HELP!!!!! someone just sort it all out 4 me!!!!!! :haha:

lol i didn't realise how long that post was ^^ oopsy

Basically what the girls above have said :haha:
You've got the biggest things sorted :)

i have got my big bath and my friends mum has got me one of those sponge things that the baby goes on for in there ... debating whether or not i need a baby bath though. What bath stuff do i need? i went to tescos and had a look... cotton wool is a def, for nappies. bepanthen and sudo cream for nappy rash. baby oil, shampoo and bath creams.... i got a couple, to see which works best. and i got a couple a face clothes... How many towels? i got a pack of 4, of the hooded ones in tesco's about 4 weeks ago for 5quid.

I've got a couple of knitted blankets that people have made for me and i've got a load of really pretty fleece to make some more but i duno how many i'll need or what kind? i have a set of 3 white cellular blankets from mothercare, where like 12 quid... but will last right through cot stage... can you use the fleece blankets for a newborn? i don't think so... i think it is advissed u use them cellular ones, with the holes? incase they slide down...

I've got a steriliser that came with 2 or 3 bottles but i don't know if i'll need more than that or not? i know i'll need a breast pump because of excess milk etc but do i need extra things with that like storage bags for the freezer or what? i did, for handiness? and where do you get them from? boots

maternity pads i figured i'd need hehe but again like how many ???? the list the midwife gave me said bring 50 pads to hospital for birth. but she said get the always maxi night time pads, cos they are cheaper, and last longer... i got them on offer one time, and got about 6 packs so that should do me... was thinking better too many

Thanks Caiomhe :)

i jsut feel totally lost but you've definately helped a bit lol

Make sure you have about 100 pads. I used asda night time pads and they did fine and are cheeeaaap. Dispoable underwear are handy to. I had bladder problems for a few day, so it was good to just chuck the dispoable ones and not have to chuck out "proper" underwear.
About 20 vests and 20 babygros should be plenty so your not constantly washing them. Nappy bags are handy for dirty nappies, dirty clothes before they are washed and dirty sanitry pads.

Also a really handy tip...get some steralising tablets. If Liam gets food on his clothes, or his nappy leaks poo up his back, I stick his vest in the steralising solution for an hour, give it a wipe with a sponge, if it's clean it goes straight in the wash, if not, back into fresh solution before it's washed. Takes the stains right out. Also handy for blood stained underwear or clothes.

I use a microwave steraliser for Liam's bottles. I only got the tablets because I was staying at my mums for a night and forgot my steralising bags. I think I read about them cleaning stains on a post on here a while ago, and on the box it says to keep them away from fabric because they can "bleach" which is why they take the stains out. I threw out so many of Liams clothes before I knew to do this because he stained them:dohh:
