Hello, it's 5am and I'm wondering what to do. I went to bed forgetting to take my regular 14/16 units of insulatard. Woke up at 1.30 and tested at 4.8 so had a snack as I thought injecting at that level would send me low. I fell asleep again!! Now I'm sitting here with a blood glucose level of 5.2 and wondering if I should take any or just be super careful and monitor all day without it?!!? Any advice? I'm on 1000mg metformin x3 a day too

When I forgot mine once the doctor told me to take it when I remembered.

Thanks for your reply. I ended up calling nhs 111 (useless) and then my labour ward. The midwife went to ask the doctor what I should do and because my levels were all pretty good (none over 6.2) and I'm on metformin, I should carry on without adding insulatard late and take it tonight as usual! I think for the most part I freaked out as my cousin who was type 1 died suddenly 2 weeks ago from a hypo so that's pretty raw :(
